Biographical Information
2003-2004 will be my 12th year teaching journalism at WHS and my third year over at the Ninth Grade Academy. I also went to high school here, graduating in 1986. Following high school, I went to Baylor University where I majored in journalism and English. Later I earned my teaching certificate from East Texas State University, deciding that being a practicing journalist was not the life for me. I got married in May of 1998 and my husband, Clyde and I have two daughters, Abigail and Sophia and a son, Clyde IV.

Because of the birth of my children, I have worked part time the past five years and will continue to do so this school year. I work only on A days, and because of this schedule, do not have a conference period. I have two classes of Journalism I, one at the high school and one at the ninth grade and a yearbook class and a newspaper class.

I enjoy teaching because of the close relationships I get to form with my students. I learn almost as much from them as they probably do from me. Also, working with classes such as newspaper and yearbook, I teach many of my students through their entire high school careers.

In addition to teaching journalism, I also sponsor the Interact Club with my sister Megan Mills.
