Sports Medicine Course Description and Syllabus
Sports Medicine is a class which encompasses the five domains of athletic training which are :
1. Prevention and care of Athletic injury/illness
2. Evaluation, Recognition, and referral of athletic injury
3. Health care administration
4. Treatment, rehabilitation, and Reconditioning of athletic injury
5. professional Development
Sports Medicine studies the Jobs of Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist and other Sports Medicine areas.
The class is an elective class which is open to grades 10 through 12 at waxahachie High School.
Students interested in Athletic TRaining, Physical Therapy, sports medicine, or any other Health occupations are encouraged to take this class.
