Students will be graded using the following point system:

                Participation                20%

                Daily grades                30%

                Tests/Performances    50%

Choir is a performance based elective.  Failure to attend concerts or contests will have a negative affect on student's grades.

Absence from performance policy:

If a student is absent from a singing event or rehearsal, a grade of zero (0) will be given.  In the event a student has an excused absence from school the day of or the day following a rehearsal or concert, he/she will be given the opportunity to make up lost points.  Excused absences must be approved by the choir director and do not include baby-sitting, job conflicts, family reunions, or transportation problems.
