Daily Work, Tests, and Grades

1.        Check the board or your class assignments (syllabus) to stay on schedule.

2.        It is your responsibility to turn in your assignments on or before the due date.

3.        Students not turning in assignments at the assigned time, when unrelated to an absence, may turn in their work the next class period.  Points will be deducted on the late assignment because it was not turned it on the due date.

4.        Most tests are production or application tests (tests completed on the computer).

5.        You have the opportunity to correct some documents on which you make lower than 70; however, the re-grade will be a maximum grade of 70.

6.        The original assignment MUST be stapled on top of the corrected copy with the words “Corrections” written at the top on the graded copy as well as the corrected copy.

7.        All your graded papers are filed in your file folder.

8.        Talk to the instructor if you discover any errors in grading.

9.        A printed progress report will be given to each student halfway through the nine-week quarter.

10.     If the student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to ask the instructor about assignments missed and make arrangements for the makeup work.

11.     Always include a typed heading on each assignment.  Type your name, class section, date, and class assignment number in the heading.  Papers without the proper heading will not be accepted for grading purposes.

12.     Daily work counts 50% of final average.

13.     Tests count 50% of final average.

14.     Tests are given at the end of each unit lesson.  Normally, every 2-3 weeks, the student will complete a unit of study and take a test covering the unit.
