In addition to the
rules set forth in the Waxahachie High School Student Handbook, I
expect just three things of my students. That they...
-
TREAT
EVERYONE, INCLUDING THEMSELVES, WITH RESPECT.
-
TAKE
PRIDE IN THEIR WORK.
-
DO
WHAT THEY KNOW THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO, WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO DO IT.
In addition to these three rules, gum, treats and soft drinks shall not be
allowed in the class unless coordinated with the teacher in advance and
all have an opportunity to share.
Parents,
if you have any questions about these rules, the following classroom
procedures, or anything else concerning
your son or daughter's work in World Geography, please feel free to
contact me.

-
Normal work assigned in class will be due
the following class day. Work turned-in one class session late will
receive a 10 percent grade reduction. No work will be accepted after the
second class session has passed. Unless absent or otherwise excused,
students will receive a zero grade for each missing assignment. There
will be no make up for reasons of procrastination.
-
Students handing-in written work in colored
ink other than black or dark blue will have their work docked 10
percent. Likewise, students handing-in papers without a name and/or
class number will have the work docked 10 percent.
-
Students willfully disrupting the academic
atmosphere in class during testing periods shall have their tests taken
up and receive a zero grade.
- Work may be turned-in typed or handwritten, if neat, in pencil, dark
blue or black ink. I reserve the right to refuse work done in colored or
jell inks, which make it difficult to read. The color red is reserved
for grading purposes. Excessively sloppy work may also be refused.
