Waxahachie Ninth Grade Academy Physical Education
The primary goal of this physical education class is to promote lifetime physical activity. In doing this students will understand the relationship between physical activity and health throughout their lifespan.
Students will dress out and participate each day. All students will be expected to participate and not be disruptive in behavior.
Dress Code: Students must follow school dress code in respect to length of attire.
No blue jean shorts or cut-offs allowed.
No bare feet.
Students must wear a t-shirt that they did not wear to school.
Students must wear shorts or sweats that they did not wear to school.
Students must wear socks.
Students must wear Tennis shoes (non marking)
Dress out procedures: Students are allowed 15 minutes at the start and end of the class to dress. Showers are available, but students will need to furnish towel and soap. Valuables must be locked in lockers or in the coach’s office prior to the start of class and collected at the end of class.
No gum is allowed in the gym or dressing areas.
Grading procedure: 100% dress out and participation
Students will not be graded on their ability to perform the activity.
Materials needed: Dress out clothes. Something different then what you wore to school.
Failure to dress out and participate will result in a 50 for that day. Failure to dress out the next P.E. day will result in a 50 for the week.
